Littermaid LM580 Classic

Basic information:
You can maintain the LitterMaid LM580 Classic Series Litter Box easily by scooping the waste 10 minutes once your cat has come out of the box. Special sensors get activated to clean the waste (when the cat leaves out the box) and you can also activate it manually to have extra scooping.

It also has high side-walls to avoid litter dispersion, detachable litter tray, a separable rake instrument for trouble-free cleaning and overturns the rake in case of log jam in case the cat comes into the box during the cleaning session.

The Littermaid LM580 with 14” x 14” pan size is appropriate for single-cat households and cat owners are able to work for long times and go out of the house for a few days. The unit has AC adapter and it makes use of 8 AA batteries as backup if electricity supply gets disrupted all of a sudden.

Cons:
Expensive Replaceable plastic waste compartment,( You can make use of use bags in the tray in its place),
Motor use to create some noise when the operation is on,
Sometimes, the rake drags only the waste which gets stuck on the rake and this, it doesn’t fall into the compartment,
The waste receptacle lid is not associated strongly with the plastic lid. So, if it is not placed watchfully, it may drop on the cat and end her life,
The waste has to be cleaned manually in some cases as it sticks on the bottom of the unit and doesn’t get pushed by the rake,
It’s not good for diggers as the full line for litter is extremely low,
Motor is not extremely powerful and Sensors don’t work when they are filthy,
Some litter spills out onto the floor when rake scoops into the waste compartment ( for this, you can place a mat) and
The machine will get blocked and stop with big clumps or a large amount of litter gets on its edge.
